Kazakhstan has blocked access to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube

В Казахстане заблокировали доступ к Facebook, Instagram, YouTubeMedia associated lock with rallies and processions.

All over Kazakhstan followed by some news sites blocked Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Telegram.

Technical monitoring was conducted by the international non-governmental organization NetBlocks.

“Twitter and messaging service WhatsApp remain public, a Telegram includes measures to counteract censorship, which allow mobile and desktop versions of the app to stay connected,” reads the report NetBlocks.

On the eve of the Prosecutor General’s office of Kazakhstan has urged citizens not to take part in unauthorised rallies and warned of a possible prosecution.

Starting in the morning on may 9, Kazakhstan began to block the websites of news publications azattyq.org, holanews.kz, vlast.kz.
